The classic variant of a wooden cassette is mainly designed with a hinged lid. Whether for cake crates, wine crates or simple wooden boxes for all kinds of things, the hinged lid with closure allows safe wooden packaging for your product. Brass-plated gold fittings are used as standard, but these are also available in silver. For special fittings such as magnetic locks, push-in hinges, locks for flat hinged lids (picture below right), etc.

sliding lid

Simple and elegant, the sliding lid offers a cost-effective alternative. A basic distinction can be made between a simple sliding lid (bottom left image) and a flush sliding lid (bottom right image) for your wooden box. A bar or notch can be attached to allow the cover to be easily slid open and closed in the groove.

loose lid

Popularized in France, the loose-lid wooden box is arguably the most original form of wine box. The lid is positioned on the crate using strips on the inside and, depending on the application, can simply be nailed shut, repackaged or simply passed on loosely. The wooden box is often designed with a loose lid with a bottle holder in a groove.

Display lid

Innovative, modern and demonstrative, the display lid opens up into an advertising space and makes you want to see the contents of your wooden box. As the name suggests, the lid stays upright at a certain angle when opened and offers a large printable area. Your product will be perfectly staged here. This wooden box can be closed with a hook fastener or a small screw. Of course, this lid can also be used unlocked. This lid variant is mainly used in the area of ​​wine boxes and gift packaging.

The right choice, especially when it comes to gift packaging. This type of lid is often chosen when packaging several different products. Extra walls on the inside of the base hold the lid in place. The lid is thus placed flush on the lower part of the wooden box and results in a simple but elegant look. In addition to the wide range of possible uses in the field of gift boxes, this wooden box variant is also being used more and more frequently as cake packaging.

Throw over lid

The outer dimensions of the lower part are the inner dimensions of the upper part. Thus, the lid can simply be thrown over the base. The lid can cover the entire height of the base or just a lower height. Often used for cake boxes as well as in gift boxes.
